UPDATE
Nick Carter says he’s totally shattered by the death of his brother, Aaron, and proclaimed his love for his younger sibling despite their complicated and sometimes rocky relationship.
In a lengthy tribute, Nick posted to Instagram and shared his deepest thoughts on Aaron’s death.
Nick’s complete statement is: “My heart is broken. My brother and I have had a difficult relationship but my love for him has never wavered. I have always believed that my brother would one day want to be healthy and find the help he desperately needs. Sometimes we blame someone or something for a loss. But addiction and mental illness are the real culprits. My brother will be missed more than anyone can imagine. I love you Chizz. You can now have the peace that you never had …. I love you brother. “
As you may have guessed, Nick and Aaron nearly never saw eye-to-eye during their relationship. And Nick openly acknowledged this fact, pointing to his brother’s struggles with drug addiction and mental illness.
TMZ broke the story … Aaron was found dead in his L.A. home Saturday morning after police received a 911 call of a man who drowned in a bathtub.
Authorities haven’t confirmed an official cause of death, but we’re told police will be doing a deep dive into his past drug use.
Waiting to get your permission to load Instagram Media.
Aside from Nick’s passionate words, Aaron’s twin sister, Angel Carter, also honored her brother in an Instagram post … vowing to hold onto their most cherished memories and sharing a series of throwback photos together.
