Experience the Future of Bagels at Boichik Bagels’ New Berkeley Location: Unveiling of the BakerBot and Pumperthingles

After a year and a half of anticipation, Emily Winston's mega bagel facility, complete with a custom bagel-slinging robot arm, is finally opening its doors in Berkeley.[0] Fans of Boichik Bagels are expected to line up early in the morning on March 24 to witness the unveiling of the BakerBot and savor the delicious Pumperthingles.[0] The new Boichik Bagels location will be open daily until 1 p.m., or until they run out of bagels.[0]

This 18,000-square-foot facility is a significant milestone for Boichik Bagels as they strive to dominate the Bay Area bagel scene. Emily Winston's bagel-making robots are ready to roll, and the opening of this facility marks a new chapter for the business. The grand opening is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on Friday, March 24, and Berkeley residents are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to experience this innovative bagel plant, café, and retail space.

At the heart of the facility lies the “robot bagel maker,” a beautifully designed mechanical dough line created by owner Emily Winston. This new technology is yet another testament to the ongoing improvements in the bagel industry on the West Coast.[1] Winston proudly states that this may be the first woman-built and owned bagel factory ever, making it a historic moment during Women's History Month.[1]

Visitors to the facility will have the unique opportunity to observe the bagel-making process in action. Winston has ensured that the layout of the facility provides an excellent vantage point to watch the bagel magic happen.[2] A window positioned front and center to the dough line allows guests to witness every step of the bagel production.[2] Winston describes the experience as mesmerizing and guarantees that visitors will find it super awesome and fun to watch.

What sets this facility apart is not only the chance to enjoy a cup of coffee and a bagel but also the opportunity to witness the bagels being made by a robotic bagel-maker. This showpiece of the facility, the dough line, has been Winston's pride and joy throughout the entire design process. The incorporation of this cutting-edge technology adds an extra layer of excitement to the Boichik Bagels experience.[2]

In addition to the bagel-making spectacle, the new facility also includes indoor and outdoor seating areas. This expansion allows for up to 40 people to enjoy their bagels and coffee in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Winston plans to utilize these spaces for various events, including mahjong, bridge, and chess clubs.[2] Guests can now indulge in their favorite pastimes while savoring the delectable bagels from Boichik Bagels.

To enhance the overall ambiance of the facility, Winston has commissioned a local artist, Nigel Sussman, to paint a mural on the exterior of the building.[2] This artistic addition will further contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of the Berkeley bagel haven.[1]

Boichik Bagels Sixth Street is not only a place to grab a quick bite; it is an experience. With its state-of-the-art bagel-making robots, mesmerizing dough line, and inviting seating areas, this facility aims to create a unique and memorable visit for bagel enthusiasts. Emily Winston's dedication and innovation have pushed the boundaries of the bagel industry, and the opening of this facility is a testament to her success. As Berkeley welcomes its second Boichik Bagels location, residents and visitors alike can look forward to indulging in the perfect combination of great food, captivating technology, and a warm community atmosphere.[1]
