Buffalo Bills DB Damar Hamlin to Hospital: Scary Injury vs. Bengals thumbnail

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Holliday was injured on Monday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Injuries have already started to hit the Buffalo Bills secondary in Monday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. But the game took a backseat when Bills safety Damarhamlin was injured in the first quarter following a big hit on Tee Higgins, Bengals receiver.

After falling hard to make the tackle Hamlin fell to the ground immediately, seeming to have lost consciousness. Although the extent of the injury remains unknown, an ambulance and stretcher were brought onto the field.

According to ESPN, medical staff performed CPR while Hamlin was still on the ground.

This season, Hamlin has 63 solo tackles, one forced fumble, 1.5 sacks and two passes defended. He was selected by the Bills in the sixth round of last season’s draft.

Buffalo was already injured in the first quarter. After being hit in the upper back by Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst, Bills cornerback Taron John Johnson was forced to leave. This happened on the third play of this game.

The team informed Johnson that he is being evaluated for a possible head injury. His return is questionable.

Hamlin’s return is questionable. Both teams gathered at midfield during this emotional time.
