BREAKING: Former U-M QB Cade McNamara Finds New Home thumbnail

It appears as though the former Michigan quarterback will be staying within the Big Ten conference.

Well, that didn’t take long. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel McNamara will announce his transfer to Iowa.

McNamara led Michigan to a memorable season last year, which resulted in an 11-1 regular season record, a win over Ohio State, a Big Ten title and an appearance in the College Football playoff. JJ McCarthy, a sophomore, won the quarterback battle. McNamara began in week one and struggled, but McCarthy started week two with a strong performance and won the job. McNamara sustained a season-ending injury in the third game of the season that effectively ended his playing career at Michigan.
